Brand & Design

From the very beginning, I had the honor of shaping the entire brand identity of Louise & Oleta’s. I designed our logo, color scheme, and overall brand aesthetic, ensuring that every detail—from signage to menus—felt cohesive and authentic. I also created and maintained our website, crafting a digital space that captures the heart of our café and makes it easy for customers to connect with us.

Marketing & Media

I developed and managed the full scope of our marketing and media strategy, building a brand identity that reflects the café’s warmth, vintage charm, and family-centered roots. From launching our social media presence to rolling out major campaigns, I created and maintained a consistent voice and aesthetic that connected with both college students and longtime locals.

On Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, I curated and scheduled all content, designing visuals, writing captions, and engaging directly with our followers. The impact has been so strong that customers often order items directly off our Instagram photos rather than referencing the official menu—a reflection of how effectively our content translates into real-world action and connection.

Beyond digital platforms, I wrote, recorded, and produced radio ads that extended our message to a wider audience while keeping our brand tone personal and recognizable. I also designed cohesive print materials including flyers, posters, and menus that maintained our brand integrity across every customer touchpoint.

As the public-facing voice of the café, I’ve given interviews with local newspapers and publications, sharing the story behind Louise & Oleta’s and building a deeper relationship between our brand and the community. Through every medium, my goal has been to tell an authentic story that invites people in—and keeps them coming back.

In addition to branding and marketing, I oversaw daily operations including payroll, inventory ordering, scheduling, and vendor relationships. I created systems to streamline service and improve efficiency, ensuring the café ran smoothly even during our busiest hours. I also managed a team of over 15 employees across multiple departments, focusing on training, communication, and cultivating a positive, supportive workplace culture.

Community connection was always a priority. I worked with local businesses and organizations to arrange sponsorships and donations, and I represented the café in multiple interviews with local newspapers and media outlets. Each part of this experience allowed me to blend creativity, leadership, and strategy—building not just a brand, but a space people love to return to.

Our social media strategy has allowed us to connect with a diverse audience across all demographics. Since rebranding, our Facebook reach has increased by over 100%, proving the power of strong branding and consistent engagement. What’s even more impressive is that we’ve achieved this growth organically—without using paid advertising. Despite relying solely on strategic content creation and community engagement, we consistently reach an average of 10,000 viewers per month. This success highlights the effectiveness of authentic storytelling, audience connection, and a well-crafted digital presence.

Instagram

Instagram has been a key platform for reaching our younger demographics, allowing us to connect with college students and young professionals in a more visual and interactive way. Since our rebrand and the start of the school year, our reach has grown significantly, with engagement increasing as more people interact with our content. One of the most unique aspects of our Instagram success is that many customers order directly from our posts rather than using the official menu, showing how powerful strong visuals and strategic social media marketing can be. By curating high-quality images, engaging stories, and interactive posts, we’ve built a platform that not only showcases our café but also drives real customer action.

Tiktok

TikTok has become a powerful tool for expanding our reach and engaging with a broader audience. Most of our videos naturally receive over 1,000 views, with the majority coming from the For You Page (FYP), proving that our content resonates beyond just our immediate followers. Our current focus is on growing our follower count while also increasing engagement from our existing audience. By creating fun, relatable, and high-quality content, we’re building a community that feels connected to our brand and excited to interact with our posts.
